When we told Geoff we were ready for dog #3 he understood because he's just as crazy as us (he has 7). The only problem was that he was going to be away on vacation when his dog Georgia was in season. Dave and I volunteered to help out with the procedure; which consisted of many vet visits for blood samples, lots of communication and phone calls and then the big surgery. Then we just had to wait.
8 weeks later 7 sweet puppies were born. Geoff and Jan were on the fence of what to name the puppies and I suggested to name them after places they visited while they were on their trip. And so it was! So where did Lucy come out of Zafarraya? Well we wanted to stick with our golden age theme so we actually named Lucy after Lucille Ball!
