Good Friday

Well, hello Easter weekend!​
This weekend has already started with a bang and it's just beginning!

It started with our basement flooding yesterday (ugh). The joys of turning on your outside  hose prematurely. Ah well, all part of home ownership. We're just happy there was minimal damage which we probably won't even need to go through our insurance.

The good news is that we got our dishwasher repaired finally (it's been down and out for 2 months). And NS Power finally cut down the tree that was straggling between our power lines. A few things off the check list!

I'm getting antsy to start gardening... I may start cleaning out the flower beds this weekend depending on the weather.

Some more news is that Lucy went in heat on April 8th, which is okay, I knew it would happen soon. Last year she went in heat on April 6th, her body is like clock work.  I was hoping she would hold off for her 2nd birthday so we could have a summer litter but nope! Our plan with her now is to breed her next heat which will likely be in October 2017 (pups born Dec 2017/Jan 2018). So there's an ETA for those of you waiting for Lucy's 1st litter!​ I do have a local stud picked out so I don't have to do surgical AI again, but there's still more wrinkles to be ironed out with that so we'll see.
