Birth Story
Nothing really spectacular to share here. Grace is such a natural mama!
I had taken the kids for a nice day at the Zoo and berry picking and wasexhausted, came home, put the kids to bed and sat down to relax. When I shut the house down for the night, I brought the dogs in from outside and noticed Grace was panting. I decided I would let her sleep in bed with me just incase she decided to have her puppies during the night. I pulled my covers over me and heard a grunting sound. She was pushing. OH OK. I guess were having puppies NOW! So I raced around and got everything together since I was not expecting her to have her puppies so many days before she was due. Within about 20 minutes the first puppy was born! The rest is history. She was relaxed and calm and safely delivered 8 healthy puppies in 7 hours while I assisted in the all nighter, frequently nodding off as she did her thing!
