A non-breeding contract will be required to be signed before the puppies leave our home.
All puppies will be microchipped, CKC registered, dewormed, have 1st (8 week) vaccinations and go home with a puppy package!

The story about this unexpected litter
We had no intentions of breeding Lucy this fall 2018 as we are expecting a human baby in November 2018.
In September, when Lucy went in heat we were diligent with keeping Charlie and Lucy apart. Charlie is our only intact male and he did great last time when she was in heat.
One day we returned home from work and Charlie had broken down his gate and ripped off his and Lucy's undies and was quite relaxed. We knew right away what had happened that day.
We immediately contacted our vets to see what we could do. We had the option to abort BUT we would have to wait until the puppies were half way developed at 30 days and then make Lucy give birth to them. Not only would it be traumatic for her and for us, but it also would put her health at a great risk for infection and possibly death. So we decided the best option would be to go ahead with the litter if she was pregnant and just hope that things worked out. Thankfully I will be home on maternity leave for this litter but I will also be caring for a newborn baby. We will have our hands VERY FULL.
October 15th 2018 I brought Lucy in for an ultrasound and it was confirmed that yes, she was indeed pregnant. The vet suspects 6-8 puppies are to be expected. They are due around November 19th, just a few days after our baby is due!

Lucy did give birth to 9 puppies but unfortunately we lost one as she sat on it by accident :(
