You might not be able to tell, it is quite subtle. But her belly is getting a bit rounder/hard and her nips are getting soft round sacks around them.
She also has a bit of morning sickness and is sleeping a lot.
29-39 days to go!
For the last 2 weeks I have been watching her so closely for changes. Today I shaved her belly so I can see better of what is going on in there. It made me feel a little better about everything because now I can really see a difference in her belly. Have a look!! You might not be able to tell, it is quite subtle. To start our day we went to Halifax for Audrey's CERF (eye) test. She passed with flying colors! Yay! She loved the quality time with mom and dad. Next off we went back home to the farm. With a new bunny in the house Dave worked quickly and built him his own indoor/outdoor run at the barn. Before/After pictures are below. All the animals loved the beautiful sunny day we had today! Also, Shag is still adjusting to his new home but I'm sure he'll love it more then ever soon enough!
Tottie and Shag had a little photo shoot today, it was great bonding time! TottieShagAlso, since it's that time of year... spring is in the air, which means its time for some babies! Tottie and Shag are expecting their first litter around May 14th 2016!
Stay tuned! Last Sunday we were very sad and surprised to find that our bunny Fuzz had passed away. He was only 2. We'll miss you buddy.
Despite our sadness of loosing Fuzz I quickly started looking for another bunny. Tuesday we welcomed to our home our new bunny we named Shag! He's a purebred Lionhead born in July 2015. He's a little skiddish so Dave is spending some quality cuddle time with him trying to warm him up to humans! You can find all the info about him under our rabbits page! It's been 2 weeks to the day that Audrey had her surgery. So everyone is asking... "Is she expecting?"
Truth be told I'm almost 100% sure she is, despite the fact that it is very difficult to detect this early on. BUT usually by now they start to show few signs. Here are some of the changes I have noticed over the last 2 weeks... - She's sleeping more - Cranky (very cranky) but also very cuddly - Her belly and nips are more pink -She gets very upset when Lucy and Bogart come near her rear end/abdomen -Appetite is starting to increase Her changes are enough to be noticeable to me but also slight enough for me to question my intuition... but I'm going with my gut on this one. Hopefully in week 3 & 4 I will see some bigger changes. PS. Her incision is healing beautifully! |
