Last night we heard a thump on the window and found this little guy stunned outside. He was good as new just a little shook up. We let him sit outside on a towel while we watched him from inside. After about a half hour he hopped around and flew away! Such a beautiful bird, AND yellow is my favourite color. Well lets just say he almost found a place in our home because he was so adorable! Thanks to a friend on facebook we discovered that he (or she) is a Yellow-rumped Warbler.
This weekend we got another section of our driveway gravelled. There are 3 parts to our driveway - which is more like its own road, so now its 2/3's complete. It looks so much better now! No more ankle twisting on rocks and makes for a much better drive up.
This past week we had some excavation work done to expand our land into a future hobby farm! This summer we'll just be doing landscaping and next year building our barn and fence. We'll be getting small goats, silky chickens, laying hens and a bigger spot for our bunnies. And maybe some more animals down the road too!!
Look's like we have another litter born! Another surprise! We knew this one was coming about a week before they were due. I checked her this morning and she was feeling skiddish... then around lunch I checked again and there was 6 little ones... and a left over placenta. Still a crazy miracle of life!!!
I seriously need one of these. I'm not there yet but everyone knows its coming... Maybe there's one with farm animals in there too. Now that I would LOVE!
I just can't get enough of these little guys. I'm going to miss them when they go to their new homes :( Meanwhile, I'm enjoying every moment I have with them. 1 month left! It was a beautiful sunny day yesterday and I got to snuggle all of them outside.
