In Musquodoboit Harbour this weekend the fire station had a convention for fire prevention and to recruit more volunteers. It was a great afternoon spent with friends of the community. Audrey got to join us for most of it but we sent her home for the portion of the display when they brought in a trained bomb detecting dog. Audrey had tons of fun seeing new faces and sniffing little children. It was a great afternoon.

Looks like were in another wedding next year! Toni and Jon are getting married July 2015 and I'm the Maid of Honor!! Dave will be a groomsman. Toni sent me a request in the mail, I love it. It's so cute! We also went out a few weeks ago and she said YES to a dress at David's Bridal. I managed to sneak a cute picture with her wearing the dress but you can't see it so I'm aloud to post this one. I have a cute video of her mom seeing it and crying but I can't post until after the wedding. Anyway, were very excited for this wedding!!!! We grabbed some munchies after to celebrate at Boston Pizza, our usual go-to place.
The count down is on!! It feels so far away but yet it is SO close! Bogart will be here before we know it and were getting all ready for his arrival. 3 weeks left and the little man will be here. I'm jumping for joy and trying not to wish the time away because I know how fast it goes by.
I bought my Andis clippers on ebay and they came in this week! I haven't tried them yet. It came with lots of goodies but I was mostly wanting this kit because it came with #7 and #10 blades which I hear are the best for grooming poodles. I bought a medium one, (not heavy or heavy duty) since I'm still learning. I'll keep you in the loop on my progress.
With every dog there comes a time that people never want to think about. A time where their body gets old and their mind is still full of love but cannot go on.
Saying good-bye to a family pet is never easy no matter what age or how sick they may be, we want to hold onto them forever. They provide us with such unconditional love that we never want to let go. September 6th 2014 Millie was put to rest and our hearts are aching. Millie lived a wonderful 13 years full of belly rubs, adventure and scrumptious food. She was my in-laws dog but I had the pleasure of knowing her for 7 years. I have so many great memories of this dog that I will never forget. Millie, we miss you and love you forever. RIP I went to PetValu today to try out the self serve dog wash and I LOVED it!!! I got to try out some new tools that I'm now going to buy for myself. It was only $10+tax and I was there for an hour and a half. I didn't quite finish because I had to go somewhere but next time I'll allot for more time. We'll be frequent flyers here for sure, at least until I get all my own tools.
We finally got some pictures of our new puppy! Here they are at 2.5 weeks. We bring him home Thanks Giving weekend in October!!!
August 30th 2014 my husband and I took part in a beautiful outdoor camo/orange wedding. It was crazy at times but in the end the bride and groom were happy with how everything rolled out. A friend of ours, Cara, did the photography and did a great job. Iv'e never been a part of such a "country-themed" wedding before but I must say it turned out beautifully!
Congrats to the happy couple! |
